Ann Mara is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and Development Studies Centre, Kimmage Manor. With a qualified background in Education, Programme Management, and International Development, Ann has worked overseas for the last two decades in a number of capacities including the delivery of education and strategic training programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa. Ann’s experience of working in Lesotho, Tanzania and Kenya has guided her efforts to deliver high-quality, accessible education programmes to support vulnerable children and adults. Ann’s ongoing professional development also saw her work in the United States where she was a founding member of The Justice Conference™ and managed creative teams, focusing on development and advocacy, for a global Relief and Development organisation. Ann moved back to Ireland full-time in 2016. Her passion for education and advocacy supports MECPATHS in its efforts to reach national audiences. Her experience of team-development underpins the nature of MECPATHS’ national and international networking.
