Mary Ryan, RSM is a graduate of University College Dublin and the Graduate Theological Union, in Berkeley California. Mary spent many years working in the field of education as a teacher, guidance counsellor and school principal. She volunteered for many years with Ruhama as an outreach worker and befriender of trafficked women. Mary is a founding member of APT (Act to Prevent Trafficking) and has actively worked for changes in legislation, which led to the Criminal Law Sexual Offenses Act 2017. She regularly speaks on the topic of trafficking in Universities, schools, and parishes. Mary is a founding member of MECPATHS and meets with the team on a quarterly basis. Mary is passionate about the protection of children from trafficking.
